iOS 5 Beta Version Expiration Date is Set This August

If your i-device currently on iOS 5 beta version, you must read this article, this is very important. Goes double for folks out there using firmware that doesn’t have an Apple developers account.

The jailbreak developer “iH8sn0w” warned a while ago that the iOS 5 beta 1 has an expiration date, and it will be this August 4, now what happen when it expired? sadly your firmware will lock you out of your i-device until it such downgraded or iOS 5 officially launches its stable version.

Yes! August 4th is the date of the expiration of iOS 5 beta, For registered Apple developers out there, there’s nothing to worry, its likely that the next beta will have been out for several weeks by that such time that beta deactivated. You will be able to upgrade to its new firmware as well.

Important thing that you should remember for this is, when the iOS 5 beta 2 released you must make it sure first to either update or downgrade back to the 4.3.3.

(i-devices that are left running the original beta after the month of August in 4th day, will be likely to lock down and you will wait until the newer firmware is availale)

    Thanks for the info !

    I just registered my 3GS on a developer account, it took me 3 minutes and I'm safe (I guess :) )

    For those like me who hesitate and are wondering about the seriousness of the website who propose the activation service, I registered my device on registermybeta! There is a special offer until the end of the weekend… don't know if they still have free slots but give it a try, it's a veeeeeeeerrrry fast and friendly service ;)

      For sure you are safe since you have that developer account :) And if you don't have, better to downgrade it since iOS 5  will be expired this August.
